John H. Kim is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates ("ABOTA"), The Million Dollar Advocates Forum, The Verdict Club - Platinum Member, and board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization - Personal Injury. John has handled numerous difficult and complex cases including but not limited to oil & gas issues, anti-trust, trademark, breach of contract, product liability, pharmaceutical, and catastrophic injury/death trials. John has been appointed to MDL committees as well as Class Action Counsel. Politically active, John has participated in the tort reform fights in the Texas Legislature, recently testifying for the Autism Society of Texas regarding the impact of proposed legislation on autistic children. He has been involved in the proposed legislation surrounding the NVICP in Washington, D.C.
John received his B.B.A. in International Marketing from the University of Texas and received his J.D. from South Texas College of Law. He is a member of the Planning Committee of the Center for Legal Responsibility; Texas Trial Lawyers Association Board of Directors; Houston Trial Lawyers - Board of Directors; Texas Bar Foundation - Life Fellow; Asian-American Bar Association - Board of Directors; State Bar Grievance Committee; and a Moot Court Advisor for South Texas College of Law. Mr. Kim is admitted to practice before the U.S. Federal Courts of Appeal - 5th and 7th Circuit; U.S. Federal District Court - Southern District of Texas and Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Kim is a frequent author and lecturer at professional programs.
